Martha Nussbaum is Professor of Law and Ethics at the University of Chicago. On May 26, 2010, Martha Nussbaum was honored with Harvard's Centennial Medal.
Nussbaum's attempt to directly apply her American perspective to Europe lacked understanding of our different circumstances and history. I blogged on her lecture here: http://thephilosophersbeard.blogspot.com/2010/06/equal-liberty-of-conscience-american.html
